Tattenhoe
- The
Copse, Mavencliffe Drive, Tattenhoe, MK4 3GF
Tattenhoe is located
on the western side of Milton Keynes. It is a sought after
location with extensive open spaces and parkland providing
a range of walks and leisure activities. Howe Park Wood
is an area registered as a site of special scientific interest,
and there are local places of historic interest including
St Giles Church and the site of a medieval village.
There
is a local cricket pitch, football pitches, children’s
play facilities and the rolling fairways of Windmill Hill
Golf Course. Further afield, Caldecott Lakes and the Grand
Union Canal add a change of scenery and, as well as important
habitat for wildlife, provides an opportunity to enjoy a range
of water based activities.
Central Milton Keynes with its excellent shops, restaurants
and amenities is within easy reach and there is a district
shopping centre at Westcroft. Leisure facilities in Milton
Keynes include The Heathland Snowzone, which is one of the
largest indoor ski slopes in Europe.
There are primary and secondary schools close by which achieve
a high level of education.
Milton Keynes has excellent road links on the M1 and A5 and
railway stations at both Bletchley and Central Milton Keynes
where travel to London can be achieved in under one hour.
